“When asked the crass question “And what is your real day job?” the unequivocal response from Andréa, her bass player Stefano Valdo and drummer Robin Tufts is that they are full time professional musicians. That they possess a degree of professionalism is more than self evident in their on stage demeanour and commitment to technical and musical excellence.”

- Rod Wilson

When you watch Andréa performing with her trio you will notice right away that they appear happy and joyful on stage.

Their philosophy is to remain true to the music, true to themselves. The music flows from an honest place which the audience not only sees but feels.

The trio focuses on Andréa’s original compositions and arrangements which can be described as modern and fresh without being outside.

The band members are in demand musicians with lengthy musical backgrounds, education, knowledge and experience. The players contribute much sensitivity and inventiveness as well as allow great room for creativity, exploration, formation and colour within their music.

Andréa’s latest trio album “What If I” was recorded fall of 2018 and will be officially released November 2019.

Andréa’s debut album, “It’s About Time” was recorded and released in 2014. The CD has been very well received and has achieved airplay on Canadian college and campus stations, CBC, CKUA radios including airplay throughout the United States, Hawaii, South Africa, Australia and on some Europe stations. It has steadily appeared on top 10 charts, #1 slots and has charted consistently on JazzWeek charting publication.

"The music, inspiration and love comes from a higher place and I hope to always connect to that spirit. My wish is for you to enjoy”

- Andréa Petrity
