Cabaret had its beginnings in France and Germany around the turn of the 19th century. It evolved into a sophisticated genre, highlighted at New York supper clubs. Calgary Women in Jazz present their take on cabaret with members Mari Jo de Waal, Glennis Houston, Deanne Matley and Valdine Schroeder performing at Lolita’s on January 22, 2015 at 9 pm.
